Last year I wrote about the process of redesigning Interaction, the Junior League of Little Rock's annual publication. Because of the drastic transformation we were able to make, we decided to submit it for an award with Folio.
We were selected as a finalist in our category (Ozzie for an Association/Non-Profit (Consumer) — Redesign — Less than 6 Issues — how's that for a category name?) and I got to travel up to NYC with two other JLLR members to accept an Honorable Mention award! It was an honor to be seated at that awards luncheon among teams from Time, Glamour, Esquire, Mother Jones, Dwell, and the like while representing our little nonprofit magazine that could.
